Volunteered at the vaccine hub for Slough CVS. An incredibly busy shift with three streams of patients: GP Referrals and Walk ins needed green cards and NHS mass vaccination centre online bookings needed red cards given to them so they could be registered or screened quickly at the entrance. At least the 6 hour shift flies by when it’s that busy especially with musical entertainment by a brilliant singer/guitarist set up outside, a solo cellist soothing the patients inside and for an hour there was an ice cream giving out free ice creams to the volunteers so nobody was getting needled in the heat.
