9 Yorkies braved the cold (some for the second night in a row) to grit the paths of West Bank Park, making it safe for locals to use.
After a few hints from Leanne, a plan was formed and three groups were swiftly formed: Lizzie, Egg and Jackie to start at the north end and work south; Vicky and Katie to start at the south end and work north; Leanne, Paul Kelly, Ben and Ellie to do the bits in the middle. Each team set off with lights, wheelbarrow, shovels and hand trowels (and a bonus dustpan) to regrit.
With the usual order and efficiency that GG York is renouned for (snigger) it only took 45 minutes before the whole park was coated and ready for the frost ahead, and all tools were stashed away ready for use on Saturday evening by the next mission.
