The afternoon shift was a lot quieter, patients arriving informed me that they had only recieved their phonecall appointment the very same morning. So i'm guessing staff were unable to book appointments quick enough.
One patient that arrived told me her husband of 83 years had been vaccinated on Sunday, she also told me he took a long time..... somehow I worked out her husband was the kind man on Sunday that had cycled to Asda to buy us biscuits and i remember him saying his wife was from Finland. So when I said - oh you are from Finland she looked surprised! She was even more surprised to hear her husband had bought us biscuits - she said he hadn't mentioned it but it explained why he was gone so long!
I worked until 3pm, by which time there were more volunteers than patients so I was allowed to vacate.
