I’m Still A Choc Star
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Wandsworth.
- Saturday, 20th of February 2021
I was back to do another weekly shop for Mrs J, Which seems to be how I now spent my Saturday, Her daughter V had text me her list, Making sure there was nothing to be missed.
Into the Asda I went, hands cleaned and face masked, Let’s get shopping, to do what was asked, Potatoes, prawn cocktail and one shepherds pie, The newspaper, spam and the some eggs I shall buy.
Cooking fat, loo rolls, then sweet treats to find, Chocolate or fruit mousse, which flavour would she mind? Then into the freezer aisle I wandered, Milk or dark chocolate for the choc ices, I pondered.
The most important request was the final thing found, Galaxy smooth chocolate, four bars for a pound, Mrs J loves this chocolate, so I had to get eight, A big queue to pay, but it’ll be worth the wait!
Down the hill with the shopping I went, Less than £20 for all that I’d spent, Mrs J was delighted when I knocked on the door, ‘Did you get my chocolate when you went to the store?’
Of course I did, as I handed over her shopping, Mrs J was so pleased that I’d come for the drop in, She waved me off with a kiss and a ‘love you’, Til next week Mrs J - take care, adieu!
