I think she Lemon Fancies me??
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Wandsworth.
- Saturday, 11th of April 2020
On this glorious sunny Saturday morning, it got kick started with a shopping trip to Mrs J and ventured to a fairly quiet Clapham. I had the list already sent to my from the Mission team so it was a matter of running to the shop, finding the items and head to Mrs J.
The shop of choice today was M&S however you can't get many branded items like Hovis bread, Galaxy chocolate bar and Mr Kiplings Lemon Fancies. But the hardest was M&S tinned ham after struggling to find any, I gave Mrs J daughter a phone call to explain. She was extremely kind and also said that she can never find it either so to just replace it with some choc ice. An excellent alternative I thought.
So my next stop was a Sainsbury's Local where grabbed myself the Hovis bread and Galaxy bars. But I was convinced I can find the Mr Kiplings Lemon Fancy in another shop.
Waitrose was my third visit, in there I bagged myself the Choc ices, the missing tin soups and lo and behold the Mr Kiplings Lemon Fancies I could taste the sweet and citrus flavour of victory.
With a short walk I delivered the goods, gave Mrs J daughter a call to confirm the drop off and Mrs J herself opened the door to blow me a kiss, it must be those Lemon Fancies she saw. So very sweet of her and an excellent start to the weekend.

Choc ice is the best tinned ham alternative, I always find. Well done Dave!
