I would tell a joke about a bed, but it hasn’t been made up yet!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lewisham.
- Friday, 19th of June 2020
What a better way to start the weekend with a Friday afternoon, bed assembling activity with another Samuel! There's always a first and although, our names are popular this was the first time I've done a mission with a Samuel (at least, I think).
Ms. S welcome us into her e stately rented home given to her by Lewisham Council as both her sons have autism and she is currently going through chemo. Ms. S tried to assemble the bed (not IKEA), but struggled to figure it out and became tired easily. But no worries, that's why Samuel and I were there. It's missions like these that make the runs over and back worthwhile.
After figuring out all the parts and correctly, getting the right sized Allen key, we started to assemble the bed... One part at a time. The end result was a single bed for one of her sons. The other bed that she wanted assembling didn't have all the parts and so she will enquire about that, but might need another few GoodGymers over.

Well done, Sam and Samuel!
Cheers, thanks Nikki! Such a good mission and glad to put a smile on Ms. S and her sons' faces 😊
