Ivy being a creep? Cast-a-net!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Westminster.
- Saturday, 7th of October 2017
Sharon and I donned our gloves this weekend to help tidy the garden for Ms E. In true GoodGym tourist spirit, Sharon had ventured afar to keep up her 3 month mission streak –amazing, give her a cheer! Ms E greeted us with a smile and a pair of shears pointing us in the direction of some pesky ivy creeping its way over her garden wall and being a general nuisance! We quickly set to work, with Sharon hitting the ground plucking pesky weeds whilst I climbed to reach the ivy and snipped away – shear delight! Ms E kept us entertained with tales of her Spanish dancing days and even busted out the castanets to play us something to work to – obviously she had clicked with us! We brushed up and cleared the clippings whilst Ms E put the kettle on and upon her return some unwanted pests found themselves in hot water! Sharon and I finished up in the patio out front, weeding and de-mossing between the paving and also trimming the beautiful rose bush and potted plants Ms E cares for. Safe to say Ms E was delighted with the results – another mission accomplished!
