Just Another Tree In The Wall
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Wandsworth.
- Saturday, 17th of June 2017
2 GoodGymmers went to Mrs A’s on the hottest day of the year (so far) for a spot of weeding, trimming and pruning. Sarah took on the right side of the garden while Mark took on the left.
A general tidy up was the order of the day, with a whole lot of weeding to be done and trimming a few trees back so the plants underneath could get some sun.
Mrs A’s garden was a lovely little sun trap, which made for hot work but thankfully she gave us a bowl of watermelon and some of her homegrown cherries to keep us going. Thanks Mrs A!
When we were almost finished, Mrs A pointed out a tree (which was definitely big enough to be called a tree), that seemed to be growing out of the wall between her house and her neighbour’s. One quick snip and it was down.
Mission accomplished. Over and out.
