Last line of da fence
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Richmond.
- Saturday, 12th of February 2022
Ms J needed some help to move some fencing in her garden to better obscure the neighbour’s unsightly garage and ladders, so she called in GoodGym.
Kaska and JP met Ms J at her garden gate and followed her to the area of fencing in question. She provided plenty of tools and we got to work.
The first issue turned out to be the hardest of the lot - how to remove the screw holding one of the fencing panels in place. No screwdriver would do the job but eventually we managed to wrench the panel free with a combination of some whittling with a Stanley knife and some brute strength with a claw hammer (all overseen and approved by Ms J, of course!)
Once we had the panels free we spent a bit of time searching for the best available screws from the various boxes, pots and toolboxes Ms J kept finding and presenting to us. Then it was a simple case of holding the panels in place and screwing them to the lower fencing. Short work for a team like Kaska and JP!
Ms J was extremely pleased with the job we had done. We stood back to admire our handiwork and take a picture, then headed off for the rest of our Saturday afternoons.
