Making the beds
1 GoodGymer made their way to help the Maidenhead Community Allotment in Windsor and Maidenhead.
- Thursday, 6th of October 2022
- Led by Windsor and Maidenhead runner
Today's task at the Community Allotment was mainly about making beds - raised beds! Some new frames for the beds had been laid out ready for us. Old compost bags were used to line the beds and bags of horse manure emptied in on top. Weed-supressing membrane was put on top of the new beds as well as two other empty beds, and topped off with some spare pieces of wood to keep it all in place. We rounded off the session by giving the gladioli bed a hoe until bad light stopped play
