Sol and Clara made their way to the Oaken Grove Park to help lift more mud out of the pond. We met the coordinator Jacqui and more volunteers to start cleaning the other side of the pond.
The skies kept us dry, but with that came "a smell" of the mud. I'm not sure which was worse: being wet last week or that smell this week! Or maybe it wasn't that bad... :-)
More treasures were recovered from mud: clothing, hoodies, a tie, more dog toys! We had extra equipment in shape of buckets, which helped a lot. We worked in team to clear a patch by patch. We got tired towards the end but were happy with the job well done. Another session next week. Tuesday or Thursday. Details will follow. Feet up and relax now!!
