Mr Ts garden - 'I pitty the tools'
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lewisham.
- Saturday, 29th of July 2017
It was my first GoodGym mission (and run in about 2 months!), and Monica's 6th. We met at Mr T's house while the sun was still shining. Mr T is a lovely gentleman, with a beautiful garden. We were tasked with cutting back some overgrown and prickly bushes growing from the neighbours garden, so that Mr T can see his fence again.
We set to work with some excellent extending loppers, secateurs and a ladder to tame the bushes. Mr T was very happy with the results, and even helped a little as we cut up the garden waste so it fitted in the garden bin. He was really friendly and chatty as we beavered away.
He would love another mission to be arranged, so that some further tidying can be done and a fence fixed : )
