Today we helped out the amazing Waste Not Want Not foundation packing 35 bags full of fruit and veg for the families of children who have free school meals and need a little extra help.
Not only were the bags full of lovely healthy fruit and veg, but all that good stuff would have otherwise been thrown away if Waste Not Want Not had not rescued it from new Covent Garden Market. We packed loads of watermelon, potatoes, cauliflowers, broccoli and more but it was finally the boxes and boxes of bananas that finally defeated us. All in all a peely good task.
