Pitshanger Junior parkROAR! π¦
6 GoodGymers made their way to help the parkrun - Pitshanger junior parkrun in Ealing.
- Sunday, 20th of August 2023

There was a real sense of excitement ahead of Pitshanger Junior parkrun this morning. Everyone was excited by the Women's World Cup final later in the day, ready to roar on the England team. The 51 finishers used that energy to run the 2 loops around the course and make it home in time for the TV coverage to start. The fastest finished in just over 7 minutes!
Madiha and Steph marshalled around the course, while Emmanuella was the tail walker at her first Junior parkrun with GoodGym. Rather than walking, the last child made her run πββοΈ. The others were in the funnel area, with Sevan timekeeping and Kash and Madhan on barcode scanning duties.
GoodGymers had reason for excitement too. Steph had completed 50 Good Deeds this week and had the (mis)pleasure of wearing the very slippery "Big 5-0" sash. Steph has shown great commitment in racing to 50 Good Deeds quickly and putting in the miles to run 10km+ each way at times from his home in Hayes to help his community. To celebrate, Emmanuella had used the spoils from her shift at Ealing Soup Kitchen on Friday π₯ to make a healthy and yummy carrot cake for the occasion. It was so healthy that even Kash had a slice! π°
