7 GoodGymers Plogged along the South Bank picking up 6 big bags of litter then running a speedy 3k!
A special lunch time session in conjunction with Westminster Council and their Spring Clean Team initiative.
Unfortunately April showers had come early which might have put off a few rain shy runners. Meeting at Westminster Pier we got ready roll towards Blackfriars bridge.
Armed with grabbers, gloves and a bin bag we worked our way East Plogging through riverside green spaces then onto the Embankment, looking for the the highest ranking beer can and most random item of litter. A glass bottle of Stella seemed to have won the day but in victory sometimes comes crash and this was no different. Award for most interesting piece of litter must go to the (empty) wreath ring probably originally from a memorial.
With our 2k Plogg under our belts, we tied up our bags and headed back towards Big Ben, dropping some nice pace in the 3k run past many very enthusiastic tourists.
Thanks for coming along and hope you enjoyed the lunch time flavour to a GoodGym Task!!
Hope to see you at another GoodGym session soon.
Great job cleaning up the Embankment.
Smooth Running
