Putting The Spark Back Into The Garden
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Greenwich.
- Sunday, 16th of December 2018
Two runnings embarked on a lovely winter gardening mission around Mrs S’s house. With dusk already descending upon us we quickly introduced ourself to Mrs S & her carers who in turn introduced us to the shed & a wide variety of tools that we needed to carry out the task. On Pieter’s closer inspection of the lawnmower he noticed that the extension lead was in two pieces & in desperate need of some tender loving care. (Note to GGHQ.. should you ever need an electrician then Pieter’s your man, it truly is amazing what he can do with a Philips screwdriver and minimal duck tape.) So with lawnmower now up & running it was down to Gareth to put his sweeping skills to good use by sweeping up the the pine needles which had hidden the patio on the opposite side of the garden. With visibility no below 50% Pieter once again had to revert back to his newly found electrical skills to swoop the fuse from the lawnmower to the strimmer so Gareth could finish off. With dark now close to setting in it was time to call it a day so we wheeled the now extremely full wheelie bin around the front, past on our seasons greetings & headed home to wash our December Green fingers.
