Rake It Or Leaf It...
4 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Richmond.
- Saturday, 29th of December 2018
Chi, Samia, Chris and Eva-Lucia had the absolute pleasure of visiting Mrs. G to help her with her garden today: we couldn't have felt more welcome!
We got straight to it with the four of us hacking back overgrown bushes (the Holly was a beast), clearing leaves and planting bulbs for the spring. In all we cleared around 7 bin bags full of debris and were pretty proud of our efforts throughout the afternoon (despite not being able to convince Samia about the merits of Parkrun)! What a great opportunity to have a proper chinwag and get to know our GoodGym Richmond clan a bit better as well as hearing about Chi's adventures visiting every GoodGym in London!
Mrs. G's hospitality is second to none, we almost felt bad declining the fourth cup of tea on offer but we'd got quite warm down in the flower beds. Regardless, we were sent on our way with a smile and something sweet for the road before everyone spilled out of Twickenham Stadium.
This was the first mission for Eva-Lucia and Chris and we couldn't recommend it more! Get verified and get going - you'll meet some really great people along the way.
