Solo mission for StephDucat today. Ran 6km from home along the canal to Bixley allotments to meet Mani. As arrived a bit early, made some friends who were not talking alot, or would say did not talk at all. They were there just to scare the birds!! Scarecrows in the allotments 🤣 Mani arrived and 2 ladies Tamadi and Mania were also waiting for him. Steph carried on where he left last week with pulling weed and grass out of the corn 🌽 parcel whilst the ladies watered the tomatoes 🍅 in the polytunnel. Mani was cutting grass. Then Steph and Mani started to clear weed, grass and unwanted plants on the parcel near the corn by the compost area. Then it was time for Hush-a-by baby on the tree top, when the wind blows the cradle will rock, When the bough breaks the cradle will fall, down tumbles baby, cradle and all....would say down tumbles a massive baby marrow and a tiny cucumber 🥒 The harvest was great and the babies looked delicious 😋 Steph then walked back home leaving his speechless friends at the allotment.

The scarecrows range from cute to creepy 😁 The corn 🌽 is looking good! Hopefully Mani will have some cobs to harvest soon.
