What a fantastic turnout on such nasty night.
After a steady run to the King Power Stadium to meet Louise we carried on to Saffron Acres. Thanks to Katy for unlocking the padlock! And locking it again :)
Everyone's enthusiasm was in abundance and everyone got to work immediately. Finding the saplings in the dark was interesting! It would have been impossible without our torches. It was very soggy underfoot, but as usual no one complained and we were quickly filling the wheelbarrows with the mulch and using spades, forks buckets and hands to surround the saplings with a warm layer of very pleasant smelling wood chippings.
I'm pretty sure we managed to surround all the saplings, and there were quite a few!
Well done everyone! See you all next week
