Five Goodgymmers came to support The Rotary Club of the Wreake Valley with their Santa Sleigh collection around the housing estate. This is a favourite annual task starting, appropriately, at one end of Nicklaus Drive, Santas sleigh is towed around every side road and cul-de-sac until we get to the other end two hours later. The kids love to come out for a photo opportunity standing on the sleigh and the older ones dig deep to put something in the buckets. Stu wins the award for best outfit.

Fourteen GoodGymmers gathered at Gynsills, Leicester for a Christmas get together filled with jumpers, sequins, glitter, and classic red GoodGym T's. We filled the longest table they had.
Everyone happily opted for the carvery, piling plates with all the trimmings. But the real showstopper? The desserts. One of them looked like it could feed a small family, and the collective gasp around the table said it all. Faces lit up even more when the doggy bags appeared haha.
It was an evening full of fun, laughter, and plenty of catching up. Some people met fellow GoodGymmers they’d only ever heard about from different days and groups, making the night feel even more special. Shout out to Jimmy who made the journey on his bike, keeping up the Goodgym ethos! And a special shout out for Lindsay who organised the event weldone!
A festive feast, great company, and plenty of laughs, Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas!

Six Goodgymmers went for our third consecutive year of putting up their Christmas trees at the Menphys office in Leicester. Stu and Jimmy made a great job of the big real tree in reception. Huw and Nick each had a large bag of branches to build into a tree. Biggest ones at the bottom, smallest at the top, and the rest somewhere in between. Lynn and Lindsay were wrapping presents for the young centre users. we soon ran out of baubles but Menphys have some new custom printed ones this year. The cakes were suitably festive

Three regular attendees were joined by two new members to help out at the big Leicester AgeUK shop. Regulars Lynn and Lindsey had brought some bags of donations so booked them in for GiftAid. New member Sam was using a community day off from work and had found us through Google - nice one Sam. Along with new member Pardeep they soon got into the swing of tagging and hanging many bags of clothes ready to go out onto the shop floor. Meanwhile Nick was asked to bag up a big pile of clothes that had come off the shopfloor. More clothes were appearing on the pile almost as fast as he could fill the bags. It's a big, busy, shop that gets through a lot of stock which they rotate round to keep it fresh The session was soon over and we had two full rails and a dozen newly filled bin bags of stock. All that was left to do was a quick look around the shop where one or more of us always finds something to buy.

8 Goodgymers joined up with 3 CRT volunteers to get cracking on tidying up the towpath.
Mel, Dave, Lindsay, Lynn and Julie along with CRT Pete collected between them 11 bags of rubbish. Today's pick of the day seemed to be bags of prawns (thrown into the river). Jen, Nick, Mohamed and CRT Alison and Rich worked on clearing the weeds off the towpath.
After lots of hard work the teams completed their tasks leaving the towpath looking spik and span.
Mohamed ran 11km to the task today, well done for getting fitter whilst doing good!
