A nice sunny day, a gentle breeze and a gardening mission in Hanham was the perfect combination for a bike ride today!

The task was to help Miss S and Ms G tame their back garden which had become so overgrown that they could no longer sit outside and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. The photos show the nature of the problem.

Given a choice of two pairs of shears, I opted for the older pair which were thankfully were up to the task of cutting down the grass and clearing the brambles.

Whilst there’s still some work to be done, I managed to clear enough space for Miss S and Ms G to feel able to use the garden again and it would be great to go back and finish the job.

Sadly I forgot to take some “after” photos but they definitely noticed the difference!
