Sofa away, doesn't everybody stay in one place at the moment..
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Wandsworth.

Ana and I met up on a beautiful sunny evening and found Ms J's flat. Her daughter was waiting to let us in and showed us the sofa that needed moving - Ms J's daughter explained that the physiotherapist had recommended that Ms J's bed be moved so that she could get in and out on her stronger side, and the sofa was in the way. We moved some furniture out of the way together with a mountain of cushions, and succeeded in getting the sofa out of the living room. It was then a question of where to put it - the door to the balcony was too narrow, and we couldn't manoeuvre it past the stair lift to get it upstairs. Luckily Ms J's daughter had the idea that if we moved the bed into its new position, the sofa could be fitted back into the living room. So after checking with Ms J that she was ok with being rolled around a bit, we carefully wheeled the bed across the room and set it back up again with a good view of the TV. The sofa was put in its new position and the cushions replaced. Ms J and her daughter were very pleased as it gives people somewhere to sit when they come to visit Ms J. Job done, Ana and I headed back out to enjoy the evening sunshine!
