Sofa so good
10 GoodGymers made their way 4.0km to help their local community in Westminster.

Meanwhile in Westminster 10 Eager Confident Navigational Geniuses headed deep into the known as opposed to the unknown. A 10 minute or 4 minute sprint to be exact.
With two new faces and a very large map, we set off at a trot to see a man about a dog - or rather, Andrew about his charity Rhythms of Life
Andrew was homeless on London’s streets for five and a half years. His time on London’s streets had ‘felt like a lifetime’ and he vowed to dedicate the rest of his life to helping the homeless and the vulnerable, ‘I have always strived to help others in a way that I needed help myself.’
On arrival Andrew gave us a thorough briefing. Our job included painting, cleaning and picking up furniture from a lovely woman called Margot who lived round the corner…. and something to do with a shopping trolley.
We split into two groups and whilst group no.1 got cracking on the painting and mopping, no.2 went in search of Margot and her sofas, empty trolley in tow. No doubt there were some bemused looks from the after-work pub-goers as group no.2 ran through the backstreets of Westminster pushing an unruly shopping trolley. Whilst Cory snapped some photos of the painters, group no. 2 were busy filling up the shopping trolley with clothes, half-empty bottles of Pernod and books.
After half an hour of lifting, cleaning and painting there was just time to squeeze in a run in Regents Park. It was such a lovely evening, it would have been downright rude not to!
After waving goodbye to Andrew and promising we’d come and help out at his new soup kitchen in Covent Garden, we toddled up to Regents Park.
A solid 4-and-a-bit km run and some excellent pacing throughout the group saw us back at The University of Westminster in good time for a stretch and some much needed water.
An excellent job and a solid run - sofa so good for GG Westminster!
