Swept up in the moment!
9 GoodGymers made their way 6km to help the Central and Cecil in Richmond.
- Monday, 25th of July 2022
- Led by Jack Concanon
Six runners met at the Tap Tavern on a warm July evening where Jack led a steady 3km run to Cecil Court Care Home in Kew where three more GoodGymers met to join in the task.
Armed with brooms, gardening gloves, rakes and willingness, they tidied up the lovely gardens in the grounds of the care home. Between sweeping, weeding, dead-heading and Anita's expert pruning of the rose arch, we gave the area a thorough tidy. Backing music came from Cathy's experiments with the outdoor sensory music equipment, the chatter of GoodGymers at work and the squeals of sudden suprise from Anita and Liz after being sprayed by a rogue hose!
Those that wished to made the 3km back to the Tap Tavern and headed off to find rehydration in various corners of Richmond!
