Take it Breezy

Well the spring weather certainly wasn’t in the air this afternoon for our shift at the vaccination clinic. We had been forewarned by Judy and Katie on the earlier shift to make sure we would wrap up warm as it was a tad breezy outside. Louisa, Lucy and myself arrived and the three of us had wrapped up so much that we were really hot when signing in. We were allocated the outside shifts and at first the cool breeze was welcoming but that didn’t last for long. Lucy was allocated as a road marshal making sure people knew where to park. She also ran to the rescue of an ambulance that had to park outside some flats nearby and because of other cars parked there had to move cones around to get them in. Louisa joined me with the meet as greet sanitising hands, asking questions and also frantically waving towards the car park entrace when people didn’t know where the entrance was. The wind kept blowing and even nature was sheltering as she spotted a blackbird hiding in the trees away from the wind. Although cold, the shift did seem to go over quickly and soon all patients had arrived so we were able to leave before 8.
