Teletubby perfect
3 GoodGymers made their way 3.0km to help an isolated older person in York.
- Saturday, 23rd of April 2022
Rob, Tamar and Louise met on a glorious blue skied Saturday to help weed, mow and tidy up Mrs. A’s overgrown garden. Rob eagerly began tackling the lawn with the lawnmower whilst Tay and Louise had the exciting job of using all sorts of interesting, pointy implements to remove the ambitious forget-me-nots which had sprouted across the pavement.
Not before long, the lawn was looking neat and was assessed by Tay as being “teletubby levels of perfect”. Rob then quickly found an old bicycle that needed a looking over and repairing (probably). He took the time to check the wheels for punctures and to see if he could get it in good nick ready for Mrs. A to sell to make more room in her shed (anything to avoid gardening, I reckon). Rob finished off what Louise jokingly called “a side quest” and put the bike mostly back together whilst Louise finished weeding the pavement, swept and got all debris safely inside the green bin.
After a couple of hours of joking, laughing and yanking up weeds, the garden was looking much better and Mrs. A was incredibly grateful for feeling back in control of her garden.
