The 12 Meerkats of Christmas. You could Sedum everywhere!
3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Cardiff.
- Saturday, 22nd of December 2018
Mikey was first on the scene at Mrs G's house. Ready and raring to go... but little did he know what was round the corner. Lowri and Ellen arrived shortly after and everyone made their way to the back garden.
Stepping into the garden, the runners soon felt like they were being watched. In fact, they were... by a mob of meerkats, each holding a tub of popcorn and wearing some 3D cinema glasses! Unfortunately many of the meerkats were a bit worse for wear after being swept off their feet by the wind, so first things first, Lowri set about getting the little creatures back on their feet while Mikey started trimming the Sedum. In Mrs G's words 'You plant one Sedum and it'll turn into thousands' so Mikey had his work cut out. Ellen meanwhile got on with filling the Green Garden Waste bin. Lucky Mrs G had 2 of these as one soon filled up with all the Sedum cuttings.
After taking care of the sedums, Mikey set about raking all the leaves which had fallen on Mrs G's plant beds while Lowri and Ellen finished clearing up. The Meerkats then thanked the runners for their time - they were very pleased with their new home and Mrs G was over the moon too. This meant that she could now enjoy Christmas without the worry of needing to clear up the garden... simples.
