Friday Hub always starts with the early risers who come to prep the day. Steph arrived early as usual followed by JP. Seemed very quiet on arrival and only a few volunteers on site. Based on the rota, JP would be on the tea station and Steph in the kitchen from 10am until the closure, but it was not the case as some volunteers missing so it was shifting mode. Steph sorted the tea station followed by setting up of the tables for the 1pm service. Getting plates with snacks, sorting the cutlery, filling the sugar and salt dispensers and putting bananas on the tables. At 11am the guests starting coming in, but not as many as usual. Steph started with Anita at the tea station and handed over to JP. Steph was then told to help wirh the games as no volunteers there. Games in place and as Steph was going to be the Bingo master started to try and gather players, but sadly due to the low numbers only 1 lady wanted to play! So no Bingo !! Steph was then giving tickets out for the shower and the massage that would be given iut by the lovely French Agnes. Massage was popular this morning. JP was shifted to the clothes section as quiet at the tea station. As 1 pm was approaching both JP and Steph shifted to the kitchen to help with some cleaning and some prep for food. JP left as his shift was over. So today was several shifts for Steph as staying until the end.. 3 shifts but it was also shift to the right, shift to the left for JP and Steph to cover the areas as missing volunteers.
