Thyme to plant Bulbs

We've had a huge donation of spring bulbs, from the annual scheme run by The Metropolitan Public Gardens Association in partnership with Taylors Bulbs of of Holbeach. I was expecting 400 but we hit the jackpot with over 1200!

They all require urgent planting so I spent the afternoon at the Arcade Rockery and Three Pigeons Plot working out a planting scheme and planting out some of the purple and white flowering bulbs at The Arcade:

100 white Narcissus Paperwhite

25 white allium Nigrum

25 purple allium Summer Drummer

50 mauve tulip Parrot Prince

50 purple tulip Purple Prince

Plus a bit of weeding, leaf clearance and planting half a dozen 50p bargain thymes.

There are another two group sessions for bulb planting listed (and possibly another one on Monday 20th December):
