Turfing out the Frogs
9 GoodGymers made their way to help the Friends of Rowntree Park in York.
- Saturday, 30th of April 2022
- Led by Laura Barrett
We spent a sunny hour turning turf, with a bit of sything by Louise and Dom thrown in, to help the Friends of Rowntree Park develop their wildlife area. It was great to see the pond we had previously help move up and running and teeming with wildlife. Some of us spent a good part of the task stopping and relocating frogs to the pond that were in the turf we were trying to turn. Abi found a record amount. It was good to see Jonathon from St Nick's again, who was teaching sything skills to anyone who was keen to have a go.
