Twas the group run before Xmas when all through Sheffield, not a creature was stirring except for a load of goodgymers!
It was SENSATIONAL STEVE'S 301ST last night, make sure you give him a mighty CHEER!
As is now customary Steve donned the fabulously made GG cape, complete with velcro numbers to mark this incredible achievement and made for an impressive silhouette when running with the lights of the group behind him, very Batmanesque.
Due to illness we had a change of plan last night and rather than our planned trip to Regather we went plogging around the area behind the train station around South St Park and the Steel City Steps.
We managed to amass a good number of bags and even a wet floor cone that James found lurking in the bushes, great find!
After returning our litter pickers we had a bit more time than usual for our fitness session which everyone was super happy for!.....
This week our fitness session consisted of;
- The Steel City Steps (One of the longest stair sets in the city!)
- Cholera Monument Strava segment (A steep one but with a good view of the city once at the top)
- Step ups on the monument
- Step up to squats on the monument
From here we ran back down the now shimering steps and back along the spooky bridge to get back to base for stretches and hearing about what is coming up between now and when we are back in action again on 6th Jan.
See you then! Merry Xmas and a Happy Running New Year!
