Mycenae House in East Greenwich is a community facility that was once a convent, and derives it's name from the ancient Greek city from which Agamemnon launched his famed mission to retrieve his sister in law. More in the keeping of his foes 6 Good Gymers put in a Trojan effort and turned up at the house on a freezing cold Saturday morning to help out. We were met by Fiona and set to the twelve (well two) labours of Goodgym.
Most of the morning's session we dedicated to chopping up bits of pruned trees then weaving the cut pieces into a fence to protect a wildlife friendly area, but one of us got the bonus task of putting up birdboxes (although the ladder looked a bit scary). The weather gods looked favourably on our endeavours and the sun soon came out and after 90 minutes the hedge was significantly bigger and the birdboxes were up. Our task complete we sailed off into the afternoon,
