We do exactly what we say on the tin!

Tuesday 1st April

Written by Jonny Carter

Tonight we had a lovely new task at a nursery school near Birmingham city centre.

Jonny and Christina arrived on their bikes, while the rest of the group ran or walked.

Laura, the school's headteacher greeted us and the task was to sand the greenhouse and the 'story book chair' before getting the Ronseal creasote out, hence the pun! Do you remember the advert?!

Christina did some weeding with a spactula which she mentioned was a first! Jonny, Miriam and Eve did some sanding, while James and Amy cresoted the greenhouse, with Miriam and Christina sorting the story book chair.

Now please take a look at those fantastic before and after pics :)

The Before and After!

Tuesday 18th March

Written by Jonny Carter

On Tuesday night James and Jonny helped out at Lillian de Lissa Nursery School.

We were joined by task owner Laura who explained the task was to remove months and months of leaves from the paths around the nursery.

We got to work, filling at least 12 wheel barrows full of leaves, emptying each one into the skip.

Laura was so pleased and sent us the before and after pictures, so you can see for yourself what a fantastic job we did :)

Spring clean 🗑🚮✅️🌟✨️

Tuesday 11th March

On a cold Spring night 6 GoodGymers set out in Stirchley to do a litter pick!

With no run on the agenda the exercise was to walk the streets and sweep up any litter.

Overall in 30 minutes we collected three bags of rubbish and earned a well deserved drink in the pub afterwards.

Special shout out to Richard for being Miriam for the day and bringing the litter pickers and hoops!!

Sunday 9th March

Written by Louise Portelly

We joined Moseley in Bloom for their third gardening session of the year, planting new daffodils ‘ Narcissus 'Tête-à-tête' around the edges of the village Green and clearing a planting bed which had become overgrown with wild garlic and needed some TLC.

It was a lovely sunny day, a neighbour bought us vimto and water and we were offered homemade cake afterwards, a Sunday morning well spent!
