It was lovely to be back in the Wishing Well garden after some time away. The winter does challenge us when it comes to getting out in the garden, so the lighter nights are a godsend.
Maurice and Nicola Set to work with the lawnmowers to get the garden looking lovely for the community VE day celebrations.
The grass was a little meadow like, but with two mowers on the go, we soon had it looking lovely again. It was wonderful to spend an evening in the fresh air, and enjoying lovely company.
We hope the VE Day celebrations were a success, and we look forward to being back at Wishing Well again soon!
Amazing job as always!
Lots of love Nicola xxx

The sunshine is certainly bringing the people out to the park! It was lovely to see so many people relaxing and playing in the warm sunshine this evening as Maurice, Nigel and Karen carried out a litter pick in and around the park. 3 heavy bags of litter later, a lot of steps and a lot of chatting, including finding out about the wildlife after dark in the park , we'd certainly made a difference - and best of all for Nigel, he found 4 golf balls!

over 100 juniors took part in today's sunny event, simply amazing! that's over 100 children and a lot of parents being active in a safe space - and for free!
Maurice, Emily, Karen and Nigel carried out several roles today: course set up, course close down, volunteer coordinator, tailwalker, communications person and timekeeper.
Well done everyone!

Lots of roles carried out by the GoodGym team at parkrun this week! 389 prople took part, with over 50 walking as part of parkrun's "Let's Walk" campaign.
Nicola was the ever warm and welcoming Volunteer Coordinator; Karen was run director and did course check, set up and close down, results processor and communications; Nigel did course set up and close down as well was timekeeping; and Emily and Kat did the really satisfying job of sorting the tokens ready for next week - although sorting them into reverse order blew Kat's mind!
Great job everyone!

Maurice and Karen weren't wasting any time tonight, covering over 5 miles between them on a litter pick around the university, business park and fire station area, and collecting 4 bags of rubbish. Recovering our steps from just 2 weeks ago was sadly productive with plenty of fresh litter to pick, but we left the area looking a lot tidier, and had a few thank yous and a God bless thrown our way.
