What do you need if you’re working in the dead of night in a graveyard ? An infrared camera of course! All approaching beings were soon spotted and identified due to Ash’s new gadget - an infrared camera attachment for his phone. Thanks Ash for keeping us all safe on a super evening 🤪.

Tracey and Gwyn met the cheerful gang at DCF's Parkinson's Cricket. There were eight cricketers, three named R and five not, and all were on form today. I counted 3600 steps recovering the balls! There was a close team game with a score of 11-10 and a lovely friendly chat before and after the session.

Tracey and Gwyn met the happy crowd at Monday Mates. There were old friends there and they made new friends too. We helped with setup, drinks and biscuits, and with the clock cricket. This time, the bowlers were the group, and they all enjoyed it. After a bit of tidying up, we went on to do a Freedom parkrun.

Tracey, Gwyn and the happy band came together again to chat and enjoy games, tea and biscuits. The first game was hard, with the players trying to hit cones over a "net" by bowling a ball that insisted on bouncing over everything. A game of boccia and then of cricket brought some relief. We had a lovely talk with the players and the other volunteers over tea.

Tracey and Gwyn hoped for some exotic birds to watch for the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch The first step was setting up the feeder, then watching. We saw ten house sparrows, two collared doves and one each of blackbirds and robin. Perhaps the exotic bird was in a pear tree? So... off we went to a National Trust arboretum and spotted 4 great tits, two great spotted woodpeckers, two robins, two blue tits, a chaffinch and a nuthatch. We also saw two red squirrels.
