The wonderous nine worked for 2 hours to tidy the tennis courts at Ardagh Community Trust. Some chopped and lopped until all the brambles and weeds, that grew fiercely at the back of the court, were cut back. An impressive result!
Whilst others barrowed the huge piles of weeds in a speedy fashion and swept the courts tidy from the leaves that has been blown all around.
It was a lovely surprise to see Jack and family, he hopes to be along to Goodgym soon.
Super job everyone, now for delicious cake and a free hot drink!

At the Ardagh we met.
For a workout you bet.
Who is that yonder?
Welcome to Wanda :)
On court we swept.
With brushes adept
Weeds were plucked.
And bags were brimming.
The rain did come.
But we were not swimming.
A coffee and chat and that was that
I had some time.
So I wrote this short rhyme.
Enjoy your week.
See you next time

Matt and I spent a lovely Sunday morning sweeping and weeding court no.7 not Wimbledon, but the Ardagh. Although the were only two of us we did well managing 3/4 of the length of the court, so just the last bit and back fence to do next time before we move onto the next one! Well done Matt on completing your 99th Goodgym Good deed! As you can see, Fergus was impressed!

We keep coming back, but it doesn't get any easier at the Ardagh!! At least by now we know where all kit is kept! 5 the runners once again took up the tennis court challenge at the Ardagh, this time we took on court no.2. Today was all about clearing the fence at the back so we got to work with secateurs, shears, loppers (some brand new out of the pack!) spades and brushes. Several wheelbarrows later I think you can see that we really made a difference, a passing robin certainly appreciated our efforts, or maybe it was just the insects we disturbed!

So if anyone can think of puns with Ivy, brambles, tennis courts or wheelbarrows in, feel free to have a go.
5 GoodGymers took to Ardagh to continue clearing the back fence of the large tennis courts area. Multiple wheelbarrows were filled, ivy was ripped out and brambles chopped away.
The people at Ardagh are really thankful of us doing it, and a lot of the people there often say thank you for the work we do, they really appreciate it. Good job all!
