We had a successful trip to the Family Hub on this group run. Upon arrival we were presented with a sorting task of donated items; clothes, accessories and a lot of toys which were completely random and required some order.

It was suspected that we would only get through a small amount of items in half an hour however Lilian was up for the challenge and said we could do it all. We worked quickly and we did manage to complete the entire task (thanks for challenging us Lil!), and we got through a lot of sorting.

Debora had the angel wings as this task marked her 100th good deed! Congratulations Deb.

Paul came back for his second group run following his first last week and it was good to see his enthusiasm for the task.

It was a great evening for a GoodGym task. We ran 4km to support Foleshill Family Hub and helped them tidy their outdoor area.

Flowerbeds were weeded and tidied. Leaves were swept up toys were tidied and displays were tidied.

It's do great to return to support the team at the Family hub and the great work they do.

On our return, Lil treated us to some special pyramid hill reps. Thanks Lil.

Tonight 7 members of GoodGym Coventry ran 8km to support Feeding Coventry and the Foleshill Family Hub. It was great to meet Madusha and find out about everyone's news.

There were two tasks tonight so we split into two groups. On to dig holes at the family hub for somer ferns. The other to stocktake at the Social Supermarket.

After succesful completion of the tasks we set off on our return to town. I forgot to take a group photo :(

Four Goodgym members got a good workout today completing some tasks to improve the play area at The Foleshill Family Hub. The first task was to remove and carry a stack of pallets into the car park ready for collection. Then the team used shovels and rakes to spread a pile of bark chipping into a flat area for the children to play in. The boat was secured by packing bark around it making it safe for the children to play in.

What a lovely evening for a group run! Six GoodGym Coventry members ran to suppport Foleshill family hub and it was great to welcome Janet!

The run there was a lovely 3.2 km where we all had chance to chat and get to know each other. Once at the Family hub, we were able to admire the newly installed art- created with the help of local families and an artist for City of Culture.

We split into two teams, one sorting out donated stock and arranging based on best before dates- there was a lot of chilli! The other team sorting donations into boxes and storing away. We then had chance to explore the garden area- which is looking wonderful. The sunflowers and vegetables looked amazing!

On our return to the start location, we found a new maze as part of a newly created garden area and created a new game- Squats till they stop- one member has to travel to the centre of the maze and the rest of the team can't stop squatting till they reach the middle! Working both mind and body!

What a delightful evening to spend with fellow goodgym members at Foleshill Family Hub.

It was greatvto be asked to support this joint project with Foleshill Family hub and The Social Supermarket. There are plans to create a new area of the garden and cover it with bark. However, the gravel and stones that are there already needed weeding and moving.

Within 90 minutes, the gravel was in piles, weeds were removed and leaves and other debris also removed.

It will be great to see this project progressing.
