Tuesday 27th January

Written by Jade

Last-minute call during my lunch break to help the team pack away after their "Sew-cial" session. It was a quick but effective mission, getting everything tidied and stored away so the space was ready for its next use.

Loading up an extra good deed

Thursday 15th January

Written by Jade

Helping the Little ARK team wrap up their launch event by clearing away the remains of the celebration and tidying the space. From packing up food to clearing the final bits and bobs, we made sure everything was carried downstairs and loaded into the car - a little lifting to end the day.

A stitch in time ahead of launch day

Monday 12th January

Written by Jade

Another last minute request for help was fulfilled by 2 of the team tonight. We helped get the Little ARK makerspace ship-shape for its upcoming launch. As we cleared clutter, sorted supplies, and carefully set up the sewing machines it was an opportunity to chat about arts and crafts. Much ado about stuffing

Monday 5th January

Written by Caroline Helder

Our first group session of 2026 saw us back at Little ARK and on such a chilly evening we were grateful for Syebvonne's warm welcome and a plentiful supply of hot drinks and Turkish delight. The evening's jobs included stuffing draught excluders, ironing on and cutting out labels, and screwing the legs onto a table. Chris and Erol also went beyond the call of duty to source a drill bit in order to attach coat hangers to a door. This creative space is looking better all the time. Well done everyone and especially to our first-timers Lina, Chris and Felicidade. We hope to see you again soon.

With the real challenge of mentally juggling entry codes and padlocks it wasn't long before everything was successfully loaded into the storage unit. We even managed to squeeze in a quick, well-earned drink before cycling off into the night.

A moving experience to end the season

Friday 19th December 2025

Written by Jade

The Little ARK event was in full swing on arrival, with plenty of festive bustle and ad-hoc tasks to tackle. We stayed busy moving benches and shifting furniture nearby before transitioning into the final pack-down, where it was all hands needed for some heavy lifting. The perfect workout to wrap up the week, leaving the space tidy and ending the Christmas fair season.
