A year on from our first session in this garden, it was lovely to see how well it's coming along, with the first daffodils shyly emerging and the impressive new bay tree resplendent in its pot. For this session we were planting fruit trees, moving blackcurrant and raspberry bushes, cutting back lemon balm and doing some weeding, all under the knowledgeable supervision of Inger. The sun came out and it didn't really feel like January. We'll be back next month!

Our first group session of 2026 saw us back at Little ARK and on such a chilly evening we were grateful for Syebvonne's warm welcome and a plentiful supply of hot drinks and Turkish delight. The evening's jobs included stuffing draught excluders, ironing on and cutting out labels, and screwing the legs onto a table. Chris and Erol also went beyond the call of duty to source a drill bit in order to attach coat hangers to a door. This creative space is looking better all the time. Well done everyone and especially to our first-timers Lina, Chris and Felicidade. We hope to see you again soon.

We celebrated a record-breaking turnout tonight with 16 GoodGymers helping at Critical Support for our last group session of the year.
With so many hands on deck, our efficiency actually outpaced our supplies. Not to be deterred, as the paper was getting low the team pivoted to wrapping smaller gifts to maximise the output, then using decorative tape to get creative and finish the job. The final result was a fantastic pile of presents ready to go.
Great work everyone, and welcome to Safiya, Kriziya , Roisin, and Lili - Congrats on completing your first task, we hope to see you again soon.
