Ready for the bi-annual bunting challenge tonight the team headed along to Jubilee Square. The age-old question of "how many GoodGymers does it take to put up bunting?" was certainly answered as we completed the job with almost half an hour to spare, then endeavoured to add a little more... bunting!
Getting the many hands organised with ladders, rolls of bunting and a trusty staple gun was an interesting test of coordination and precision. And of course, no GoodGym session is complete without an impromptu good deed - we squeezed in a quick litter pick to make sure the area is at it's best ahead of Saturday's Good Food, Green Fair and some over-timers stayed behind to help finish chalking out the stall locations, ensuring plenty of space for the main stage.
What a lovely evening and welcome to Shekinah and congratulation on your first task - we hope to have you back soon.

GoodGym Merton once again stepped in to assist at Jubilee Square as Goodgym Kingston's schedule is fairly packed.
After a bit of litter picking Anna and Jade worked on the sticky situation with weed-ridden beds whilst Rachael, Emily and Rufu teamed up with shovels and rakes to spread woodchippings over the area.
There was also time to put up the new notice boards and head to the pub for an impromptu drink and chat about all things Goodgym. Congratulations to Rufu on your 10th task and we will see you in the Taskforce team very soon 🤞.

This morning on a chilly but bright morning, Rachel, myself and Danni, along with two new recruits, Lucy and Alethea, also two girls doing their Duke of Edinburgh award, races through the tasks that included carring on spreading the wood chip once the unwanted foliage had been removed. A litter pick was done, graffiti removed, alongside building up the dead hedge, all done incorporating chats. Great tasks with great people.

This morning in the glorious sunshine, along with 3 teenagers doing their Duke of Edinburgh award, woodchip was spread around the foliage, some cutting back was done as well as a litter pick. A great workout, baton passed to Merton on Monday.

This morning I joined Danni and the girls that were doing their Duke of Edinburgh Award, we carried on around the raised beds this time spreading the wood chip. The time soon flew by and a much needed tuna panini and cup of tea were enjoyed.

This afternoon I joined a few others, in sweating in the heat created by digging, wheelbarrowing the woodchip and raking it to form a nice even covering among the growing beds. We make a good start on the wood chip pile that had been delivered. A good workout.
