Portsmouth GoodGymers love a donation task! Particularly one that enables them to have a clear out at home! And this task meant that the Portsmouth Helps Ukraine volunteers will have plenty of boxes to fill with gifts for the next lorry delivery to Ukraine.
A huge number of empty shoeboxes were discovered in GGers' cupboards, wardrobes and under beds.
GGers delivered their boxes to collection points and Judy delivered 2 car-loads to the very pleased staff at Southsea Library collection point.

Well done, Jane, Dave & Tracey for donating generous amounts of leftover wool for the busy knitters and crotcheters who support the Portsmouth Helps Ukraine charity.
They don't have enough wool to keep up with the speedy needles and hooks, making blankets and warm clothing to send to Ukraine communities ready for this autumn and winter.
Our GoodGym donations will help to keep the clever crafters busy!

Judy put out the call for empty shoe boxes for "Portsmouth Helps Ukraine" and GoodGym responded.
A variety of sizes and shapes of shoe box were delivered to the collection point at the Thatched House.
Big thanks to Mel who stepped in to do the Fratton collection and delivery.

The knitting needles and crotchet hooks were out - Portsmouth GoodGymers took tuition and re-learned forgotten skills, or rattled off squares with ease (in front of the tv, on the train, while working...)
The result was a beautifully colourful range of squares, ready to be sewn into a warm blanket, to be sent with a convoy of supplies to Ukraine next month.
