Suitability

Supporting unemployed men with access to free interview clothing within the North East

Suitability is a Community Interest Company (CIC) that was set up by Darren Tate earlier this year and is aimed at men who are seeking employment and have interviews lined up, but don’t have access to a suit or other appropriate clothing. We use donations from people and businesses to support us to help men not only look good but feel confident to succeed within the North East.

13 GoodGymers have supported Suitability with 2 tasks.

Suit And Suitability

Saturday 5th September 2020

Written by Maddy Winnard

After a great task at Suitability last month, Goodgym returned in the hope of following suit!

Chris, Katie, Sam and Tom organised the great range of stock that Darren has acculumated and we had a go at finding an appropriate outfit for a future client. Eleanor dressed the mannequin and made him nice and dapper for a photo shoot, whilst Anji, Emma and Kate organised the self-care products. We made shirt work of it in the hour!

We heard some wonderful stories about how the different shirts, suits, trousers, ties and shoes came to have joined the charity's collection! Thanks Darren for having us - we hope we tie'd you over until we next return!

Unable to contain ourselves

Tuesday 11th August 2020

Thank goodness for great weather as we helped out at Suitability!

This brilliant new local charity provides interview clothing for men to help them back in to work. What's more brilliant is that the charity is led by regular GGer Darren.

We finally got the chance to celebrate Louise's 100th good deed and we gave a massive welcome to new GoodGymer Jenny. Give them both a cheer! We visited Suitability's storage container to lend 9 pairs of hands.

An hour flew by as we hung jackets and trousers, sorted through bags of donations and built a shoe rack. We made such a huge difference that was really easy for us to see.

We are back at Suitability in September for more.
