Don't take tou lon
it was great to have a new charity to support in Worthing. We were especially grateful for an inside task as it was pouring with rain!
Sonya, a contact of Emily from Centre for Sight was so welcoming to us as she outlined the painting of a meeting room in a very attractive colour called Toulon.
Emily and I were on masking tape duty (very dubious skill on my part as others will vouch for! ) before Emily moved to painting
Rosalind andPaula took the cutting in whilst Paul and Lucy took on the rollering.
1 hour 15 minutes later and we finished 95% of the first coat. Excellent work 👏 Next week we will finish the job including some glossing.
Hope to see you all then!

The return of group runs
On a glorious evening in sunny Worthing 7 of met up for our third and final week at our task at Sight Support in Worthing.
It was great to welcome Sue to her first evening with us. We hope it's the first of many!
Tonight also heralded freedom day and the return of the group runs. Rolling back the months and just like it was last week and not year, we easily split into 2 groups of runners and walkers.
I led off the runners for a 3k run along the prom whilst John led the walkers on a similar route.
On our return we all did some Squats, lunges and wall sits before heading inside for our painting task.
With more fiddly finishing bits than large chunks of painting we all pitched in to leave the room transformed!

Our second week at the Worthing Centre for Sight and it was back to the painting task that we started last week.
This weeks A team comprised of Mr and Mrs R Belinda and John Ros Rosalind Paul Paul and Barbara Barbara
Ros got to the task before us as we had done a 1 mile walk along the prom so she was in charge of allocating painting tasks to the group this week.
Paul and John were on the rollers, Belinda and Barbara on the white satin skirting boards and Ros taking the high, hard to squeeze into areas, as the photo shows!
Lots of chat and banter later we finished for the evening.
One more visit and we will have nailed it!
