Alice Searle done a 6 month mission streak.
Alice just completed a six month streak of doing missions. Thatโs so many bags of garden rubbish cleared and jobs done to help someone out and put a smile on their face. Give Alice a cheer to encourage them to keep up the good work.

What a difference a couple of weeks makes - the Baby Bank is looking sorted in their temporary premises! I had a few bags of boys clothes for them so popped down mid morning and spent an hour or so sorting donations. Such a lovely team - always love a Friday morning there!

Storms Eunice and Franklin had made a bit of a mess of the churchyard at All Saints, bringing down lots of branches in the wind. Juli, Alice and Sheila took on the task of clearing the debris, and piling the branches by the gate to be collected by the local council. We welcomed the help of some passers by and before we knew it, we had amassed a huge heap. Anita got busy with a hoe, clearing the edge of the path from the encroaching grass and weeds, and was later joined by Juli. It's a very long path, so we were unable to complete this task - we will have to make a return visit. It was lovely to be out in the spring sunshine and the churchyard looked really pretty with daffodils, primroses and violets all on show. The churchyard now looks a lot tidier - well done everyone!

The GoodGymers did a toe-tally awesome job of rummaging through their old shoe cupboards to find unworn and pre loved footwear that could be shipped out to Ukraine via a local collection point. The team trod the right path by scrubbing the shoes into they shon making them look truly boot-iful.
Toe-riffic Sophie gathered up shoes from across Maidenhead with donations from the wonderful Sara, Vickie, and Diya. Whilst Alice put her heart and sole into the task by organising a delivery of shoes to Amandaโs house.
Amanda stepped up to the challenge of sorting and bagging up a toe-tally amazing 86 pairs of shoes, trainers, sandals, boots and moreโฆ.. and of course, managed to shoe -horn a few good puns into this report!

Lots of GoodGymers helped out the Baby Bank this weekend as they moved home. This vital charity help families in need with everything from nappies and moses baskets to coats and school uniform, and they need to hold a lot of stock so they can respond quickly to referrals. Shifting all that stuff to a new warehouse is no small job.
Well done to Rachel, Clara, Jess, and Alice, who joined me in helping out on Saturday. Also a very warm welcome to Rachel as this was her first GoodGym session. Rachel was packing up in the old premises whilst I was unloading at the new site, so we didn't actually get the chance to meet. Rachel you must come back soon so I can say a proper hello!
A big cheer for Anna and Roberta, who helped out on Sunday. Anna reported back that it was great to meet Roberta and Roberta shared a brilliant video of Anna in action (captured in the photo for the Sunday report).
And finally congratulations to the Baby Bank and kudos to their volunteers and to Green Bros Removals, who were helping them free of charge. They worked tirelessly all weekend and must be shattered!
We look forward to continuing to help this brilliant charity with sorting donations in their new home. Keep an eye on our 'happenings' page for more sessions.
