Brighton Report written by STEFANIA ROSSO (she/her)
The MincePie10 Miles run is really what is all talked about; a lovely trail run organised by the Seaford Striders in full Christmas spirit. Not surprisingly it grabbed the interest of a Good bunch of Brighton GoodGym-ers, despite the wet and muddy conditions of the trail course on the day. We had a great fun, really.
We also joint efforts with The Green Runners on a mission to keep running without the footprint ๐ฃ ๐. A volunteer-led group of passionate runners accelerating the Race to Change! ๐ So, Richard and I helped at the PairsUP Swap Clothes's stand to facilitate the relocation of pre-loved running clothes and repaired trainers.
A Good day, I enjoyed the run and left with a few pre-loved garments as a Green Chrimbo Gift! Thank Liam for organising our Sunday roast lunch.
The time to act is NOW ๐๐

Carla Washbourne been to three different GoodGym areas.
A Tourist likes nothing better than exploring new areas and meeting new people, and that's what Carla has been doing. Carla has been to three different GoodGym areas now - nice!

Carla Washbourne completed their first run in a new area.
Curious? Carla has just run their first session in another area. For that explorative spirit Carla is awarded the scout badge. A Scout is trustworthy

Sheffield Report written by Tom Mutton
A BIG #GGSHEFF welcome to two new runners:
Katie from Leeds.
Carla from Brighton.
Tonights task was at The Hope Centre, an impressively massive space that has a whole raft of things going on from Church, to youth to conference based activities.
We met Mark McKnight the Facilities manager on site who gave us a brief on the evenings task which was to sort through chairs and tape up the ones that need attention due to wobbling issues or screws starting to come through the fabric which is a right pain in the arse!
We made quick work of the chairs in the conference room and soon moved down into the MEGA CELLAR where the were a MEGA LOAD of chairs to also go through. We got straight to it, forming a production line that would have made Jeff Bezos blush!
After a decent session on the chairs we rolled and shuffled them back into the storage area, ready for the facilities team to do their thing to improve the sturdiesness and comfort of our four legged friends.
We'll be back to The Hope Centre again for some sorting of other items and possibly some skip filling to help make room for converting the MEGA CELLAR into a Youth Club.
Until next time, happy running :)
