Windsor and Maidenhead Report written by Windsor and Maidenhead runner
A dozen GoodGymmers, a few chairs to be mended, and some pumpkins that didn't need juggling but were juggled anyway. That's pretty much how this Wednesday's session went.
In between, we had enough time to catch up. Some tried their hand at the coffee machine, some others were brave enough to try the output.
Fixing the chairs is a fiddly task but again the GG spirit won out.
The best part, we saved the community center £1700 in just an hour by mending those chairs. Task owner Jack can sleep easier tonight, though I hope it's not on those chairs!

Diya made an early start at the community allotment and was already hard at work when Sheila and Kay arrived. Diya cleared the bed of peppers, taking them to the composting area while Sheila and Kay cut plastic to cover the bed. We dug some well-rotted manure out of the bay (even Diya admitted it smelt sweet - well, almost!), which we spread on the bed and covered with the plastic sheets. We were joined at the manure bin and pepper bed by a very friendly robin, looking for any tasty treats we had uncovered, and there were certainly plenty of worms! As Diya went off to her yoga class, we weeded around the new figs

Diya and Kanika went over Mrs A's to help her use her iPad more comfortably. She already knows a fair bit, but the tech is hard to keep up with. In between the software update, the actual tech guidance and tips for her ease, we had a nice chat about everyday things, how things used to be, are and will be... A nice social visit combined with tech support!
