Peas be kind to others

Hammersmith and Fulham Report written by Jo Dunkason

The bi-weekly food bank at St Matthew's Church needed help setting up tables, chairs, and laying out the items donated in the 'shopping list' order, making sure older items are used up first. Who doesn't love some grocery rotation!

Lawrence, Alex and Jo are now pros at the set up having been last week (Alex's first ever mission!) and Christina in only her second GoodGym mission got stuck in too providing an invaluable set of hands.

Sian, Tony and the team were so pleased with our help and after a swift 45 mins, the foodbank was ready to open and the Goodgymers headed out.

The next time you see Jo, they might be wearing black instead of red. They've completed 50 good deeds with GoodGym and have earnt their black t-shirt. Give them a nod when you next see them.

Furniture Tetris

Wandsworth Report written by JP

Jo and JP met at Ms J’s place to help with some furniture rearranging as she has different needs now she is in a hospital bed at home.

The first task was to move a blue sofa into a spare bedroom, which was straightforward enough once we had moved an old washing machine and mattress out of the flat for the council to collect.

Then we needed to move a hoist into the living room next to Ms J’s bed, which involved some tricksy manoeuvres to manage the angles around doorways - but with a bit of GG puzzle skills we managed the job.

A good job well done, and a happy Ms J and her sister.
