It was indeed a night on the tiles for the @GGSHF crew tonight!
We headed up the hill to The HOPE centre to meet with Facilities Manager Mark McKnight who opened up for us and lead us down into the MEGAstore where a huge amount of 'STUFF' has been stored from various work and activities that have taken place in the centre.
In the future, the hope is to clear the room in order to make it into a youth centre. Between now and then, there is a huge amount of sorting and skipping that needs to take place.
No doubt we will be back to continue the work, but on this occasion we focused on sorting and binning ceiling and carpet tiles that were no longer fit for use.
We were really on a roll and filled bags and trolleys up to the brim, ready for Marks team to wheel them out to a skip in the near future.
An excellent job was done by all, some might say our efforts were in the top percentile.. (thanks Ben).
Until next time, happy running :)

Mark Mcknight has done their first good deed with GoodGym.
Mark is a now a fully fledged GoodGym runner. They've just run to do good for the first time. They are out there making amazing things happen and getting fit at the same time.

A BIG #GGSHEFF welcome to two new runners:
Katie from Leeds.
Carla from Brighton.
Tonights task was at The Hope Centre, an impressively massive space that has a whole raft of things going on from Church, to youth to conference based activities.
We met Mark McKnight the Facilities manager on site who gave us a brief on the evenings task which was to sort through chairs and tape up the ones that need attention due to wobbling issues or screws starting to come through the fabric which is a right pain in the arse!
We made quick work of the chairs in the conference room and soon moved down into the MEGA CELLAR where the were a MEGA LOAD of chairs to also go through. We got straight to it, forming a production line that would have made Jeff Bezos blush!
After a decent session on the chairs we rolled and shuffled them back into the storage area, ready for the facilities team to do their thing to improve the sturdiesness and comfort of our four legged friends.
We'll be back to The Hope Centre again for some sorting of other items and possibly some skip filling to help make room for converting the MEGA CELLAR into a Youth Club.
Until next time, happy running :)
