In true Goodgym style, Carys ran, Carol and Sarah walked, Sheila cycled, and Helen came straight from a Pilates class to volunteer at the Baby Bank. There we met with Sam, Mark and Kate for our regular Friday morning session. Helen and Sheila were put onto checking Baby Buggies. The airport had just delivered dozens of buggies that had been left at the airport and never reclaimed. These were checked for age, quality and suitability for handing out to families, and cleaned. Any lightweight ones were put aside to be sold to raise funds. Afterwards we joined the other upstairs who were busy clothes-sorting and putting together referrals. Helen and Sheila went through the shoe donations, checking they weren't too scuffed or dirty. By the end of the session, the checked clothes had been sorted and the shoe donation travel cot was empty. Result! It was great to see so many Goodgymers there, making a real difference

An amazing 5 Goodgymers turned up to help at the Baby Bank this morning. As usual, the place was very busy with donations coming in and lots of checking to do. Mark and Viv were doing first checks on the donations while Sarah and Sheila were doing secondary checks and putting clothes away in boxes. Carol seems to have become the resident expert on hand-knitted items, so she was checking beautiful hand-knits for safety and sizing them - first cardigans and pullovers and then a box full of hats. Great job!

Vikie, Mark and Sheila helped out at the Baby Bank this morning. Since they featured on 'Lorraine' earlier this week, the donations have just flooded in. They had also had a couple of corporate teams in, so we were faced with piles of clothes on the tables which had been through a first sort-through. Along with a couple of new volunteers, our task was to do a secondary sort on these piles and store them in the appropriate boxes. As we worked, more donations were coming in, so there will be plenty to do next week!

Mark and Sheila helped out at the Baby Bank this morning. They had a team of 10 corporate volunteers also helping out, who were doing the primary clothes sorting. We were kept on our toes answering all their questions and making sure they were kept busy Sheila was putting the sorted piles of clothes away in the boxes before the piles toppled over, while Mark was searching through the adults clothing, looking for adult warm coats to be given to refugees staying locally. A very busy morning
