A combination of two tasks today at Moushold Heath, both very rewarding!
We cleared the gullies to expose the Roman road used by the local cavalry to march up to their Barracks. A job which was satisfying as we could see the results very easily.
Meanwhile another group tackled the final third of the Dutch Elm, cutting it back and disposing of it down the deep gully as per a few weeks ago.
All topped off with lovely refreshments at the end courtesy of Mousehold Warden Will.

Tonight 9 Goodgymer's ran or cycled 4km to Don Pratt Court, a retirement housing complex run by Norwich City Council.
We were invited to host a quiz night for the residents, in an area that has not had many community events for a while.
Despite low attendance we continued with our quiz questions, even using Google translate for a Ukrainian resident to take part. This lady has no TV or radio in her property so we kept her entertained for an hour, and even helped show her how to use the washing machine!
The winning team, Quizzee Rascals, won by a single point after a final round of musical intros! Ram Jam anyone??

A lovely Friday morning task for Mr K. We arrived a little late but got stuck in building a treadmill and an abdominal roller for Mr K. With some patience and repetition, we eventually succeded. Even having time to run a couple of tests on the equipment to make sure they were able to be used safely.
After this we also helped reset a couple of shelving units.
When we left Mr K was very pleased with all that we had accomplished.

Having the equipment will improve Mr K's health and quality of life.
